Federal funds of $1 million will be used to construct a highway crossing along Highway 3 in Dakota County and improve access to the Veterans Memorial Greenway.

The current pedestrian crossing along the highway poses safety risks to pedestrians and drivers. Once constructed, the new crossing will provide an accessible access point for greenway visitors of all ages and abilities and improve traffic safety along the highway.
